North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is a leading provider of recreation and cultural programs and services in the community. Our mission is to build healthy individuals, families, and communities by delivering memorable experiences to our customers.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position starts at $36.08 per hour and ranges to $42.45 (2024 rates). This is an auxiliary position with hours based on operational needs and may involve shift work including days, evenings, and weekends. Approximately 14 hours per week. Employees will be available to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position.

About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Development Coordinator II to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating community-based recreation, early years, and social programs. You will promote interest and participation in program activities and supervise staff to ensure effective program operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate community-based recreation, early years, and social programs.
- Promote interest and participation in program activities.
- Supervise staff to ensure effective program operations.
- Work with community groups to plan for services.
- Utilize software such as PerfectMind, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher to support program delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications
- College or University graduation with courses in leisure and recreation, or related subjects, supplemented by some related work experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license and access to a vehicle for NVRC business.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment and high level of interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
