Technical Support Specialist - Hospital Setting

About The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at THE RHEUMATOLOGY OFFICE INC. in a hospital setting. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $65,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems and applications.
  • Research and implement solutions by consulting user guides, technical manuals, and other documents.
  • Offer advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and software to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to prevent data loss.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (College/CEGEP).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical support role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position working 32 hours per week in a dynamic hospital environment.

Language:

English is the primary language spoken in this role.
