Job Summary:

The Yard Attendant - Operations Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, receiving and processing inventory, loading and unloading shipments, and preparing orders for prompt delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers
  • Accurately receive and process inventory, including checking for damage and discrepancies
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring safe and efficient handling
  • Prepare orders for prompt delivery, including verifying accuracy and completeness
  • Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts, following safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, including supporting team members and contributing to process improvements

Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality, with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with a strong ability to build relationships and resolve issues
  • Team player with a strong ability to work collaboratively and support colleagues
  • Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset, with a strong ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with a focus on physical stamina and endurance
  • Applicants must be over 14 years old, with a strong ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
