Regional Market Leader – Water

GHD, a leading professional services company, is seeking a seasoned leader to drive business growth and development in the Water Market sector. As a Regional Market Leader, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a strategy to increase GHD's market share and diversify its portfolio of private and public sector clients across the Eastern Canada region.

About the Role

As a key member of the GHD leadership team, you will be accountable for organizational management to achieve agreed performance targets relating to growth of the market and ensuring GHD is ahead of client and market trends. Your primary focus will be on developing business opportunities, building and strengthening our Water business through the delivery of projects, technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Regional Market Business Plan to drive growth and profitability
  • Design and execute a strategy to increase GHD's market share and diversify its portfolio of private and public sector clients across the Region
  • Ensure a coordinated approach to maintaining client management systems, capturing regular contact and meetings with key clients
  • Proactively collaborate with other Market Sector Leaders to position and win multidisciplinary projects within the Region
  • Represent and promote GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, and conferences
  • Input on major tenders/bids and proposals
  • Identify areas of practice within Region, based on client feedback and market trends that require enhancement to meet present or future opportunities

Requirements

  • University degree in any field relating to role (engineering, environmental, etc)
  • Member of a recognized licence association (, Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), etc)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a leader
  • Minimum of 15 years in project management for key projects
  • Established client base in mining and energy and resources related business markets
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, both verbal and written (English/French)
  • Capability to manage priorities and intervene as needed
  • Ability to adapt leadership style according to team composition
  • Good emotional intelligence
  • Expertise to gather, influence, and motivate a group of professionals
  • Excellent people management and mentoring skills
  • Team player with leadership skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams in the bidding, clarification, negotiation, and development of projects
