About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Eddie Burger + Bar. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate food and supply costs, ensuring efficient inventory management and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement new menu items, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and sales, providing valuable insights for menu optimization.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes and promotions, driving sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Recruit and train new staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage budgets and inventory.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
