Job Title: Power Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Power Engineer to join our dedicated team at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, BC.

Your Role:

Aligned with our organization's vision and values, you will operate and maintain the power plant/low-pressure steam plant, ensuring the efficient functioning of boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing trades duties approaching the journeyman level in various areas such as electrical, plumbing, and painting.
  • Supervising maintenance workers and other designated staff.
  • Operating, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance on steam, hot water heating boilers, and HVAC systems.
  • Monitoring and adjusting temperature control systems, pressure, and feed water levels.
  • Recording meter and gauge readings to ensure optimal distribution of steam/air heating.
  • Altering system operating parameters, schedules, and calibrating instrumentation components.
  • Lubricating, repairing, replacing, or installing equipment and parts like pumps, fans, air compressors, valves, and seals.
  • Maintaining required documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
