Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Shuttle Truck Driver to join our team at CA09 Labatt Brewing Company Limited. As a Shuttle Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering kegs to various locations, managing truck yards, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver kegs to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage truck yards, including trailer management and inventory control
  • Perform daily circle checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Report any defects or issues to the Manager
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as adding fluids to vehicles as needed
  • Comply with all applicable weight regulations and transport regulations
  • Move kegs (160 lbs.) safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to plant health and safety and environmental regulations
  • Assume responsibilities and follow Standard Operating Procedures in area of responsibility
  • Actively implement VPO processes and use VPO tools to drive improvement in business

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Drivers License with air brake endorsement
  • 5 years safe driving record in operation of a tractor-trailer
  • Capable of driving all vehicles in the Company Fleet, including straight trucks or tandems, tractor trailers
  • Must successfully complete a medical examination
  • Physically capable and able to satisfactorily perform all regular duties of the position
  • Follow safe work practices, including wearing proper PPE
  • Willing to work in all areas of the operation
  • Willing to work shifts unsupervised as required and other duties as assigned by the Manager
