Job Description

As a key member of the HR team at Extendicare, this role plays a crucial part in optimizing employee experience through our Workday HCM platform.

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Solutions Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be accountable for analysis, configuration, validation, issue resolution, and training of our Workday HCM platform.

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your business acumen while continuing to hone your Workday technical skills. You will work closely with our business managers to build strong relationships and provide swift and effective end-user support to evolve our employee experience and HR Service Centre model.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday, troubleshooting, analysis, and configuration. A background in payroll processing, absence, or talent management is also desired. Exceptional time management and project management skills are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and resolving intricate problems related to Workday HCM platform
  • Configuring and validating system settings to ensure optimal performance
  • Providing coaching and guidance to junior staff to enhance their understanding and utilization of Workday
  • Collaborating with HR and business stakeholders to identify process requirements and provide effective solutions
  • Conducting data analysis on HR data such as compensation, classification, employment, employee relations, and/or benefits data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study
  • Minimum three years of experience with Workday – hands-on experience troubleshooting, analysis, and configuration
  • A background in payroll processing, absence, or talent management
  • Ability to handle complex business problems within the context of technical solutions
  • Exceptional time management and project management skills
