About the Opportunity:

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and the University of Manitoba, Department of Ophthalmology, invite applications for a full-time, permanent Ophthalmologist to fill a labor shortage in Manitoba.

Main Job Duties:

  • Diagnose and treat eye diseases
  • Prescribe medications and treatments
  • Order lab tests and x-rays
  • Consult with other physicians
  • Conduct medical research

Qualifications:

A Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Ophthalmology is required. Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba is also necessary.

Experience and Skills:

The successful candidate should have experience in teaching residents and medical students, as well as a strong clinical practice, clinical research, and quality improvement opportunities.
