Job Description

Foilcon is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic health-related projects and Agile environment experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate patient portal specifications into business requirements to build and design the foundations of the program.
  • Lead and conduct business analysis to assess business problems/opportunities and document business requirements.
  • Apply reengineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
  • Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Develop sound processes for requirements gathering.
  • Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
  • Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report regularly to the Project Manager/Leader and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of business analysis experience working in electronic health-related projects in an Agile environment.
  • Solid foundation in eliciting business, privacy, and legal requirements and stakeholder management.
  • Solid foundation in eliciting technical and architecture stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong experience working within an Agile team using Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Familiarity with legislation applicable to healthcare organizations, such as PHIPA.

Deliverables:

  • Work with different stakeholders and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, technical).
  • Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and development of processes and products that assist in facilitating the exchange of health information for healthcare professionals.
  • Help the team solve difficult problems, learning from and sharing with team members.
  • Manage priorities and requests in an organized manner.
  • Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.

Knowledge Transfer Details:

  • The candidate will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Ontario Health team before the end of the engagement.
  • The candidate must provide all related documentation as part of the Knowledge Transfer protocol.
  • The candidate will work collaboratively with the OH team throughout the assignment and ensure key deliverables, milestones, and documentation are shared.
  • A walkthrough of any demos, development, etc. will be required before the end of the engagement.
