Microbiologist

**Job Title:** Scientist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Scientist to join our team at Chinook Contract Research. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, biochemistry, or molecular biology, with experience in laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of scientific principles.

**Responsibilities:**

• Design, plan, and execute experiments as part of our external contract research business.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and work closely with internal and external team members to ensure timely completion.
• Participate in internal R&D programs and apply research findings to various applications.
• Develop and submit research proposals for grants and awards.
• Train and supervise students and laboratory technologists.
• Write original research papers and technical reports based on findings.

**Requirements:**

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work occasional scheduled hours outside normal business hours.
