Holt Renfrew is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its business continuity efforts. As a key member of the Store Support Centre team, the Business Continuity Director will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's operational resilience during disruptions.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience leading complex operations in high-volume and/or multi-unit business environments, ideally within the luxury fashion sector. They will possess a proven track record of creating and executing short and long-term business strategies, as well as building and maintaining long-lasting relationships and partnerships within the business, community, and with customers.

The Business Continuity Director will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, maintenance, and implementation of business continuity plans across all business units and functional areas nationally. They will conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the organization, evaluate potential threats, and develop strategies to mitigate their impacts.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a team player who can act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required. They will be a confident and effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.

The Business Continuity Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, legal, and communications, to respond effectively during emergencies. This includes managing communication protocols, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about fashion and luxury retailing, with a strong ability to coach, motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams. They will have a proven ability to create and successfully execute short and long-term business strategies, as well as build and maintain long-lasting relationships and partnerships within the business, community, and with customers.

The Business Continuity Director will be responsible for facilitating regular business continuity exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of existing plans. They will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure business continuity strategies are aligned with overall risk management objectives.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. They will be adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, with a strong ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships and partnerships within the business, community, and with customers.

The Business Continuity Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining standards and procedures for disaster recovery and business continuity documentation. They will manage quarterly reviews of changes in corporate resources with respective management teams to ensure the effectiveness of recovery procedures and backup capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be able to ensure recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and the resumption of critical business processes. They will protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the business recovery and disaster recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities:
