Job Title: Energy Trader

BMO is seeking a skilled Energy Trader to join our team. As an Energy Trader, you will be responsible for building and maintaining fundamental models, executing trades, and managing linear risk. You will work closely with our Commodities Trading group to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain supply/demand models for North American Natural Gas, including regional breakdowns.
  • Manage an active book of Natural Gas linear positions both physical and financial with a focus on North American basis.
  • Present internally and to clients, utilizing excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in financial computer applications, including MS Excel, programming languages, and Bloomberg.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in commodities trading or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Energy markets - financial and physical.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
