Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Framer Carpenter to join our team at Take Flight Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for framing, installing, and finishing building structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels, and estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

As a Framer Carpenter, you will work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors. You will be required to work in a fast-paced construction setting, with varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
