Director, Senior Commercial Markets Leader

As a Director, Senior Commercial Markets Leader, you will be aligned to our Senior Commercial Markets (SCM) client segment within Commercial Financial Services (CFS), defined as commercial clients with annual sales revenue between $25MM and $100MM. As a professional relationship manager with strong business development skills and advanced financial acumen, you will be responsible for new client acquisition, deepening and growing existing client relationships, portfolio management, and profitability.
You will excel at delivering timely and relevant financial advice to large commercial businesses within your industry of focus, aligning sales, products, risk policy and market strategies to deliver customized solutions specific for your clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of large commercial clients, taking responsibility for the overall relationship strategy within the client's RBC relationship team.
- Acquire and grow Senior Commercial Markets client relationships, collaborating with the client relationship team and bringing the full breadth of RBC to businesses, business owners and their employees.
- Work in close partnership and collaboration with CFS Finance to manage and support complex client credit needs, demonstrating strong credit acumen, as well as sound risk mitigation and portfolio oversight.
- Foster internal and external strategic partnerships and centres of influence (COIs) to meet the business' strategic goals while focusing on target market clients.
- Ensure clients are enabled to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business.
Requirements:
- University degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, with strong financial analysis skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years' commercial banking experience.
- Experience and comfort with emerging technology (e.g. video conferencing, social media, digital banking and mobile applications).
- MBA and/or CFA considered an asset.
