We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health and Environmental Specialist to support our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting public health, environmental conditions, and standards, as well as enforcing regulations and investigating complaints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate complaints related to public health issues and environmental control matters
  • Conduct inspections of food processing and handling establishments, business premises, and buildings
  • Perform regulatory and enforcement duties related to water quality and environmental matters
  • Conduct epidemiological investigations into foodborne illness outbreaks, communicable diseases, and epidemics
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Health degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) granted by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI)
  • Valid BC Class V Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle
