Job Description: Logistics Engineering Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Engineering Analyst to support our Eastern Region Distribution Centre and its management team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify areas for process enhancement and cost reduction within the Distribution Centre and network.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with our goals.
  • Analyze processes and systems to find areas for improvement and design solutions using lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standardized processes and best-in-class operational procedures.
  • Create training materials, work procedures, and process models.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends and bottlenecks.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate KPIs and project outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design and layout of distribution centers to optimize space and material flow.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a Distribution Centre or logistics environment.
  • Proven experience in process improvement using lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, PowerBI, Alteryx required).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD (required) for Distribution Center layout designs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA required) and Microsoft Office suite (Visio an asset).
