Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to support senior members of the team in generating new business opportunities and successfully executing transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients, collecting and consolidating company, industry, and market data, and completing credit rating analysis using external credit rating methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients
  • Collecting, consolidating, and interpreting company, industry, and market data
  • Completion of credit rating analysis including scenario analysis using external credit rating methodologies
  • Create well-thought-out analysis and deliver high-quality presentations
  • Facilitate the execution of ratings advisory mandates including supporting drafting of rating agency presentations and marketing materials for transactions, liaising with credit rating agencies, cross-functional deal team members, and external clients
  • Collecting, maintaining, and ongoing analysis of client, market, and product data
  • Identifying and developing business opportunities with clients
Requirements
  • CORPORATE AND/OR INVESTMENT BANKING OR LEVERAGED FINANCE EXPERIENCE. EXPERIENCE AT A RATING AGENCY WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED
  • BACHELORS OR MASTERS DEGREE IN BUSINESS, FINANCE, MATH, ENGINEERING, ECONOMICS, SCIENCE OR TECHNOLOGY
  • CFA, CPA OR EQUIVALENT DESIGNATION IS AN ASSET
  • PROVEN RECORD OF OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN ACADEMIC AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Benefits

At Scotiabank, we value the unique skills and experiences each individual brings to the Bank. We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a base salary of approximately $80,000 CAD per year, plus performance-based bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k)-style pension plan.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000 CAD, based on industry standards and market rates for similar roles in the Toronto area.

We also offer flexible work arrangements, including remote work options, to ensure that our employees can balance their work and personal life effectively.
