Senior Labour Relations Specialist

Job Summary:
York University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Labour Relations Advisor to provide guidance and advice on labour relations and human resource matters to academic administrators and managers. The successful candidate will have expertise in collective agreement administration, labour negotiations, and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice and support to the Director, Faculty Relations and Associate Director, Faculty Relations on collective bargaining and labour relations matters.
Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to inform recommendations on labour relations and human resource matters.
Develop and maintain files related to internal complaints, grievances, awards, and settlements.
Participate in collective bargaining and provide counsel on labour relations and employment legislation.
Requirements:
University degree in Industrial Relations, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrated skills in labour negotiations and collective agreement administration.
Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
