Senior Vice President, Asset Management

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President, Asset Management to lead our capital markets analytics team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic analytics initiatives to drive business growth and improve decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics strategies to optimize asset allocation and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into business operations and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze market trends and develop predictive models to inform investment decisions.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing analytics team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in analytics and machine learning.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of senior management experience and a proven ability to manage a national team.
  • Strong working knowledge of the functioning of the capital markets and securities industry, including a deep understanding of trading systems, practices, and market activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional ability to provide ongoing analysis of trends and changes in capital markets and the financial industry that may impact the Canadian marketplaces.
  • Experience with equity and debt trading and a working knowledge of trading strategies of participants and their clients would be a definite asset.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
