Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant at Cabot Cape Breton

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Cabot Cape Breton. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our spaces, ensuring a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors to a high standard
  • Dust and clean all furniture and fixtures
  • Vacuum and clean carpets, area rugs, and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change sheets in a timely and efficient manner
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to guests
  • Stock linen closets and maintain a well-organized storage system
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas as required
  • Clean and disinfect elevators and other high-touch areas
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or information
  • Provide basic information on hotel facilities and services
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers in a prompt manner
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to a high standard
  • Clean changing rooms and showers, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Previous experience an asset, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and push/pull cleaning equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • English language required
