Field Property Claims Specialist, New Brunswick

About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Property Claims Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting field inspections to evaluate property damage and providing quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough field inspections to assess property damage and determine the extent of losses.
- Provide prompt and equitable valuations of claims in accordance with corporate policies and standards.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with claims departments and other stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor other appraisers and adjusters to ensure consistent quality service.
- Establish and maintain productive business relationships with repair facilities and other service providers.
- Assist in the screening and review of vendor performance to ensure compliance with professional and corporate standards.
- Prepare repair estimates and obtain cost agreements from contractors or quotations on restoration/replacement.
- Prepare total loss evaluations and facilitate their disposal, if applicable.
Requirements
- University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in property claims.
- High-level knowledge of the Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mitigation (IICRC), construction, and repair procedures.
- Effective verbal communication skills, with experience in interviewing, coaching others, and dealing with clients.
- Good written communications skills to draft claims reports.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
