Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Pumpernickels c/o Ontario Ltd 2394069. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure a clean and safe environment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Supply Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession, hospital/medical facility or clinic.
- Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.
This is a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
