Job Title: Senior Field Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Technical Lead to join our team at Aviva Canada. As a key member of our Software Engineering Group, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Design and implement ClaimCenter configurations and integrations with external systems
  • Ensure best practices are followed in code development, testing, and deployment
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage the technical aspects of ClaimCenter upgrades and patches
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins
  • Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs
  • 5+ years of experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL – MS SQL Server & Transact SQL proficiency preferred
  • Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications
  • Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON
