Job Title: Apiary Worker

We are seeking a skilled Apiary Worker to join our team at Poelman Apiaries Ltd. for a seasonal position.

Job Summary:

The Apiary Worker will be responsible for maintaining the bee yard and beekeeping equipment, performing general farm duties, and assisting with apiary and honey harvesting operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment to ensure optimal bee health and honey production.
  • Perform general farm duties, including outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • Assist with apiary and honey harvesting operations, including harvesting honey and using automated honey extractors.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
  • Perform tasks that require attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a rural area with staff accommodation available.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
