  • STARFLEET CONSTRUCTION INC. is looking for an experienced Cabinetmaker to join our team. Key responsibilities include operating woodworking machines, preparing custom cabinet specifications, and shaping wood workpieces.
  • Education and Experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field, preferably in residential and commercial settings.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to stand for extended periods required.
  • Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Operate power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage.
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools.
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units.
  • Apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Supervise other workers and estimate costs and materials.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
  • Required Certifications and Licenses
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license.
