Environmental Waste Management Specialist

The Roll Off Truck Driver position at GFL Environmental offers a unique opportunity to join a leading waste management company. As a Roll Off Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses.
About the Role:You will collect waste from customer sites and transport it to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. Your primary objective is to ensure that waste is collected and disposed of in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate Roll-Off Truck and Ancillary Equipment: Safely operate roll-off trucks and ancillary equipment to collect waste from customer sites.
- Complete Safety Inspections and Reports: Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets, and other documentation requested by supervisors.
- Communicate Vehicle Issues: Immediately report any vehicle mechanical problems to mechanics and supervisors.
- Maintain Route Quality Standards: Ensure that routes are completed in accordance with predetermined quality standards.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety standards, equipment checks, and precautions when performing duties.
- Report Accidents and Incidents: Promptly report any accidents or incidents to supervisors.
- Exhibit Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor, manner, and appearance at all times while interacting with customers and the general public.
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear required PPE at all times, including gloves, reflective vests, safety glasses, and work boots.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep accurate records of services performed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Desired qualification.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Valid CDL required.
- Roll-Off Experience: 3 years of experience considered an asset.
- Manual Experience: Required.
- Wood Recycling and Sawdust Experience: Desirable skills.
- Safety Sensitive Functions: Must meet relevant criteria according to Company standards.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$70,000, depending on location and experience. This estimate may vary based on various factors, including market conditions and individual qualifications.
