Game Technology Lead Position

Rainbow Six Siege is a highly successful, competitive online tactical shooter with a long history of shipping new content and features. The game's continued success is due in part to the hard work of the Rainbow Six Brand Tech Team, who collaborate with the Siege team to implement technical improvements and evolve the game's core tech stack.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe role of Technical Lead on the Rainbow Six brand will involve working closely with the Siege team to identify and prioritize specific technical improvements. This will include building and maintaining a roadmap for these improvements and guiding your team to execute the vision at high quality.
Effective communication with remote partners is crucial, given the distributed nature of the Rainbow Six Brand Tech Team. You'll need to be able to build strong relationships with your team members across multiple studios.
- Define the technical vision within the project's Engine team and plan its technical roadmap.
- Mentor programmers to develop their technical skills and provide them with the tools they need to work efficiently and achieve quality.
- Provide technical oversight by reviewing code and making technical validations.
- Synchronize with other technical leads to remove blockers and keep production moving forward.
- Communicate with interdependent teams on other projects to exchange information.
To succeed in this role, you'll need around 7 years of programming experience in C++. A deep understanding of various game engines, systems, programming languages, interdependencies, and critical issues is also essential.
You should be able to make informed decisions quickly, have a strategic approach to problem-solving, and possess excellent mentorship, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
A highly innovative and collaborative spirit, as well as effective cross-departmental communication, are necessary for this position. Finally, a desire to share your knowledge and help others improve their skills is essential.
