Ophthalmology Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmologist to join our team at Campbellton Regional Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders, prescribing medication and treatment, performing surgical procedures, and acting as a consultant to other physicians.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the eye;
• Prescribe medication and treatment as needed;
• Perform surgical procedures as required;
• Act as a consultant to other physicians;
• Participate in the teaching of students and residents in medicine.

Requirements:

• Completed certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada;
• Diploma from an approved school of medicine supplemented by post-graduate study in the area of specialization (Ophthalmology);
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick;
• Able to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
