The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and construction of major capital projects with varying complexity and size, including tenant improvements.

This role offers a full-time, 10-month contract with hybrid working arrangements, primarily from Vancity's head office location and the Lower Mainland-based home office. Some travel to construction sites and in-person events may be required.

A typical day involves:

  • Developing and managing the multi-year capital program for the branch network and office space in collaboration with Facilities Planning, Real Estate, and MECE initiatives.
  • Leading the development and execution of an asset management strategy and operational plan for all owned and leased properties.
  • Oversight of construction/renovation activities for Vancity retail premises within established design and planning guidelines.
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring, and refining capital project delivery processes, procedures, and tools within the department.
  • Serving as the department owner and champion for best practices in project management delivery.
  • Representing Vancity in key contractual relationships regarding construction risk, law, performance, and regulation.

  • Curious and innovative, staying up-to-date on industry trends and exploring insights behind major headlines.

You have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Architecture, preferably with a professional designation.
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities construction delivery and team management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred.
  • Experience with construction contracts, including CCDC contracts.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this role is $102,200 to $153,200, with the mid-point likely to be around $127,700.
