Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

George's Greek Village Ltd is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
  • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing overtime.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food service management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Working Conditions:
  • Restaurant environment, with exposure to kitchen equipment and potentially hazardous materials.
  • 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Will train, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
