Job Overview

The Government of Alberta is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Justice of the Peace. This position requires a strong understanding of the legal system and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

As a Justice of the Peace, you will be responsible for presiding over court proceedings, making decisions on legal matters, and upholding the integrity of the legal system. You will work closely with the Alberta Court of Justice and the Law Society of Alberta to ensure that all proceedings are conducted fairly and in accordance with the law.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a Canadian citizen and a member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta. You must also have a minimum of five years of experience in a related field and be able to undergo a security screening.
