Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. This opportunity allows you to provide high-quality nursing care in a variety of long term and acute care facilities in the Barrys Bay area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admission for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length, and 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital as needed.
