About Health Association Nova Scotia:
We are partnering with the Department of Seniors and Long-term Care to provide recruitment support to continuing care employers in Nova Scotia.
Our mission is to help people live well in the place they call home by providing exceptional long-term care and home care services.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on employer and qualifications
About the Role:
We are seeking skilled Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) to join our interdisciplinary team. As a CCA, you will work closely with highly skilled professionals to provide long-term care and home care services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with various personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist clients with meals and between-meal refreshments
- Provide respite for families and caregivers
- Document client progress and concerns
- Engage residents and families in leisure and recreational programs
Requirements:
- Provincial Continuing Care Assistant Certification
- Related education and/or work experience, or enrollment in the CCA RPL Program
- Students in nursing, CCA programs, and international educated nurses are welcome to apply
