In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for infants and children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organized home.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their basic needs are met.
  • Instruct children on personal hygiene and social skills, promoting healthy habits and independence.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment by identifying potential hazards and taking necessary precautions.
  • Plan and organize activities, such as games and outings, to stimulate children's cognitive and creative development.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Establish a consistent sleep routine and ensure children get adequate rest.
  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, encouraging socialization and learning.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in childcare or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding when interacting with children and families.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if applicable.
Working Conditions
  • This is a temporary position, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
  • Work hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust as needed.
  • Language: English or French spoken fluently.
  • Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
