Applications Engineer – Edmonton, AB

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to join our client's Applications and Estimating team in Edmonton, AB. As a key player in this team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing oil and gas processing equipment, collaborating with Mechanical Engineering for equipment design and providing cost estimates, developing and publishing product standards, and offering technical support to project management, drafting, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize oil and gas processing equipment, including process and thermal design.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering for equipment design and provide cost estimates.
  • Develop and publish product standards, request and review quotations from sub-suppliers.
  • Offer technical support to project management, drafting, and production teams.
  • Enhance process efficiency and contribute to the company's growth and safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in applications engineering for process equipment manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with process design and simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, HTRI), AutoCAD, NavisWorks, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
