Job Title: Child Care Live-In Caregiver

Bergonia residence is seeking a reliable and caring Child Care Live-In Caregiver to join our team. As a live-in caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, ensuring a positive and respectful environment.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, fostering their growth and independence.
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their cognitive and social development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring the children's dietary needs are met.
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, establishing a soothing and calming environment.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
  • Help children with homework, supporting their academic development.
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
