Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team at Cricket Care as a Support Worker. In this role, you will be providing personal support services to elderly individuals and persons with disabilities in their own homes or community settings.

About the Job

This is a permanent, part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule of 10 to 25 hours bi-weekly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have previous experience in the field of personal support work.

Responsibilities
  • Administering bedside and personal care to clients
  • Assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Providing companionship and social interaction
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals
  • Cooking simple meals and snacks
  • Laundering clothing and household linens
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Requirements
  • Diploma in Other trades certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with elderly individuals and persons with disabilities an asset
  • CPR and First Aid Certificates required
  • Punctuality, reliability, and a strong client focus essential
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $18.50-$22.00 per hour, based on industry standards and location. Mileage reimbursement is also provided for on-the-road job requirements. Location and Work Setting

This role involves working in various locations across the city, including residential homes and community settings. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for on-the-road responsibilities.
