**Job Description:**

Moving2Canada is seeking a seasoned Commercial Director to lead our Major Projects team in Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for the overall commercial management of large-scale projects, driving successful project execution and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve project goals
  • Lead commercial and project control functions, including procurement, subcontract administration, main contract administration, change and claims management, cost control, and scheduling
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to executives and project managers
  • Manage commercial and project control matters, including change management, procurement, prime contract management, cost control, earned value management, scheduling, and risk management
  • Develop and enforce commercial/project controls policies, processes, and procedures

**Requirements and Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly experienced Commercial Director with a strong background in law or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying on construction projects. You should have several years of experience as a claims consultant on major construction projects, representing companies in adjudication, mediation, and commercial negotiations. A thorough knowledge of contract language, change management, and legal requirements of contracts is essential.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working on rail, airport, or major transportation projects, with the ability to command respect from executives and joint venture partners on commercial matters. Strong leadership skills and experience in developing and implementing strategies for risk and opportunity management are also required.

This role offers a comprehensive salary package, including health benefits, short-term incentives, and a relocation package. The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, depending on experience.
