Financial Analyst Job Description

Our company, isgSearch, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial analysis and reporting, as well as developing financial models to drive corporate finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform year-end and quarter-end financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Compile monthly performance and corporate costs reports for management review, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing financial information for the MD&A (Management Discussion and Analysis) and other supplementary reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow statements and materials for board presentations, providing a clear and concise overview of the company's financial performance.
  • Collect, organize, and present data for strategic analyses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Build financial models and templates for valuing organic projects and supporting corporate finance activities, leveraging your expertise in financial management and performance analysis.
  • Assist the operational accounting team with internal reporting tools and issue resolution, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Collect and analyze PLC estimates from various research sources, providing informed recommendations to senior management.
  • Support the filing of TSX regulatory forms and Statistics Canada surveys, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or corporate finance.
  • University or college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with accounting and financial software, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze data, provide insights, and offer recommendations, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
