  • Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior Home Care Support Worker to join our team at VON Canada (Victorian Order of Nurses). As a member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support to our clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Supply and empty bed pans and maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
    • Serve meal trays and assist with feeding patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
    • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention to detail
    • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, promoting a comfortable and hygienic environment
    • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available for clients
    • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect
    • Administer first aid in emergency situations, providing prompt and effective care
    • Requirements:
      • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
      • Continuing Care Assistant Certification and First Aid Certificate
      • CPR Certificate and ability to provide care in a fast-paced environment
      • Ability to work in a physically demanding role and provide excellent oral communication
      • Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability
