Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and ensure infection control
  • Conduct specimen collection and monitor nutritional intake
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and will be required to stand for extended periods. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work in a team environment.
