At William Osler Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Diagnostics Laboratory Specialist to join our team.
We offer a competitive salary of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Description:The Advanced Diagnostics Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for performing a range of tests and procedures related to immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing and interpreting test results with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborating with the Charge Technologist and Director to evaluate and implement new technology
- Ensuring that assigned staff meet quality and safety standards, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Participating in projects, validations, and proficiency testing as directed by the Charge Technologist or Director

Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- CSMLS certification
- Current registration with CMLTO in good standing
- Immunohistochemistry or molecular testing experience (an asset)
- Proficient with DNA/RNA extraction, nucleic acid sequencing, and next-generation sequencing
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team environment
