About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist and Grid Compliance Expert to join our team at ABB. This role requires a strong understanding of power systems engineering, grid compliance, and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Power System Design and Optimization
    • Design, model, and simulate power systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation within the grid.
    • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to our power generation equipment to stay ahead in compliance and performance.
  • Grid Compliance and Reporting
    • Monitor changes in grid code regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Prepare and submit necessary documentation, reports, and certifications to regulatory bodies and grid operators.
  • Project Management and Coordination
    • Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and other technical teams to ensure grid compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely completion of grid compliance activities.

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligible for immediate registration.
  • Over five years of hands-on experience in power systems engineering, including grid compliance and renewable energy system integration.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software like PSS/E, PSCAD, and ETAP, coupled with a deep understanding of grid codes and regulatory standards.
