**About the Role:**

BC Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Multidisciplinary Pediatric Pain Management Specialist to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and families living with complex pain.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for pediatric patients with complex pain, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
  • Promote patient-centered care through open communication, empathy, and education, empowering patients and families to manage their pain effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring seamless collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric pain management, participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to the growth of our team's expertise.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field, with licensure to practice in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in pain management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering effective communication and respect among colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
