Job Title: General Duty Radiology Technologist

At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Duty Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and technical support.

Job Summary

The General Duty Radiology Technologist will work under the supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate to perform assigned diagnostic duties in accordance with their scope of training and experience. This includes providing direct patient/resident care, technical, administrative, and operational support functions, as well as maintaining a safe environment and ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning, draping, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Fluent language skills in both English and French (written and oral).
Working Conditions

The General Duty Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials.
