Job Description

The IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure role plays a pivotal part in the day-to-day delivery of IT operations at Momentum Financial Services Group. This position is responsible for overseeing and supporting the IT operational infrastructure, including hardware and software lifecycle management, server builds, patching, support, and access management.

This individual will be expected to:

  • Implement Best Practices: Review and implement cutting-edge best practices across the Windows Server landscape.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Coordinate support with vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and ongoing support.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Assist in developing and designing processes and procedures for Disaster Recovery in conjunction with IT Operations.
  • Manage Virtual Environments: Manage VDI/Virtual desktop environments and infrastructure.
  • Storage Configuration: Configure, monitor, and manage storage systems.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, manage, and maintain a stable, responsive, highly available cloud infrastructure.
  • Tech Support Liaison: Act as a liaison of technical support to all departments to resolve complex issues and problems.
  • Team Performance Management: Manage overall team performance, metrics, and SLAs.
  • CMDB Management: Manage the configuration item database (CMDB).
  • Incident Resolution: Own RCAs for all infrastructure incidents.
  • Escalation Point: Act as a point of escalation for all infrastructure service-related tickets.
  • Documentation Management: Manage accurate, up-to-date SOP documentation libraries.
  • On-Call Support: Support On Call teams for high-priority incidents, including evenings and weekends.

This role requires an experienced professional with:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Sys Op Admin, ITIL, MCSE, etc.
  • Experience: 8+ years' experience in IT Operations and Infrastructure.
  • Expertise: 6+ years of expertise in Infrastructure technology, Virtualization, Cloud, IT Support, and management.
  • Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge and experience with a broad range of infrastructure technologies and internet-facing environments.
  • Design Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design infrastructure achieving high levels of availability.
  • Storage Expertise: Expertise in storage technologies, configuration, and management.
  • Software Integration: Experience in Enterprise-level software package integration and deployment.
  • Project Lifecycle: Expert understanding of infrastructure project lifecycles.
  • Business Requirements: Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures & operation methodologies.
  • Solution Evaluation: Proven experience with defining and evaluating solutions, vendors, and technologies related to IT infrastructure.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills to navigate the organization and motivate the teams.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Change Management: SCCM and Patch management lifecycles, Enterprise change management process.
  • DR/BCP: Experience in BaaS and DR/BCP.
  • Problem Analysis: Problem and Incident root cause analysis.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with IaaS, PaaS, EC2.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
