About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Dykeland Lodge. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide support with meal times, including serving and feeding residents
  • Accompany residents on outdoor recreational activities, promoting socialization and exercise
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments, ensuring efficient communication
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols
Requirements
  • Completion of a Continuing Care Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
