Senior Corporate Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our accounting and financial reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the month-end close process, review and approve journal entries, and prepare monthly results packages for management.
- Maintain the general ledger, including organized working papers and detailed account reconciliations and analysis.
- Prepare financial statements and analyze financial results.
- Determine appropriate accounting treatments and assist internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Prepare semi-annual forecasts, annual budgets, and annual long-term forecasts.
- Support the preparation of regulatory reports and tax filings as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports as required.
- Oversee a small accounting team (1-2 employees).
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Commerce with significant related work experience and an accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA).
- Experience with financial reporting systems and Excel.
- Knowledge of regulatory accounting is an asset but not required.
- Detail-oriented with strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple deliverables and work independently under tight deadlines.
- Solid business acumen, customer-focused, and innovative with the ability to identify and implement improved processes.
