About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Employee Relations and Health to join our team at Sheridan College. As a key member of our HR leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration by developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee relations, health, and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement employee relations and health and wellness strategies to promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Lead a team of HR specialists to provide expert advice and support on employee relations, health, and wellness matters
  • Collaborate with senior administration and union representatives to negotiate collective agreements and resolve workplace issues
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote employee well-being and safety
  • Provide coaching and training to employees on workplace issues and conflict resolution
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., HR, Industrial Relations, Business Administration)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR leadership, with a focus on employee relations and health and wellness
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, management, and union representatives
  • Certified HR Professional (CHRP) designation an asset
